Today we had an excellent walk in the High School Woodlot. The school grounds were a bit eerie because of morning fog. My favorite part of the morning walks had to be all of the amazing spider webs dripping with morning dew. The invisible world of spiderwebs came alive because of those little drops of water giving the grassy part of our school little delicate pockets of webs awaiting a meal. In the afternoon we discovered our new classroom friend Pablo. We did a little research about what he or she eats and found that the Queen Anne's Lace would be our best bet. Before I left school I found him as pictured there to the left on the Queen Anne's Lace! Well done kids! Some of the questions I heard on the walk today:
1. Would a berry be alive?
2. What about the moon? (to which another student said..."well if it was made of cheese it'd be once living")
3. What about this moss?
4. Are the leaves alive for a little while after they fall off the tree?
